IATA – Global Feedstock Assessment for SAF Production: Outlook to 2050

Key findings include a forecast of the possibility of producing around 400 million tons of SAF by 2050, which is 100 million tons less than needed. While sustainable biomass feedstocks are largely available, access to them may be limited, highlighting the need for e-SAF. The main barrier to achieving the target of 500 million tons is the rate of technology adoption.
