This report tracks countries' ambitions regarding the COP28 pledge to triple global renewable electricity capacity by 2030.
It updates the June 2024 analysis by extending geographical coverage and reviewing new Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) submitted until the end of COP30. The report quantifies renewable energy ambitions for 2030 and examines updated national policies and plans for almost 200 countries. It benchmarks renewable ambitions in new NDC submissions against national plans and assesses their alignment with the global pledge to triple renewable capacity by 2030.
