The report by the International Energy Agency highlights the strong growth in global electricity demand, marking a new Age of Electricity. Global electricity consumption is projected to increase rapidly through 2027, driven by industrial production, air conditioning, electrification, and data centers. Emerging economies, particularly China and India, are leading this demand surge. Low-emission sources like renewables and nuclear are expected to meet the growth, with solar PV and wind accounting for a significant share of the increase.
