IRENA – Renewable Energy Statistics, 2024

The tables in IRENA's Renewable Energy Statistics for 2024 provide data on the maximum net generating capacity of power plants using renewable energy sources. This capacity is shown in megawatts (MW) and generation in gigawatt-hours (GWh). Pumped storage is included in total capacity but not in total generation. Renewable electricity trade is calculated based on the share of renewables in total production. Data sources include IRENA questionnaires, official statistics, industry reports, and news articles. Figures with "o" are from official sources, "u" from unofficial sources, and "e" are estimates by IRENA.
