WFP – Global Outlook, 2025

The main theme of the report concerns global food security and humanitarian needs in 2025.

Key findings include confirmation of famine in the Darfur region of Sudan and the general threat of famine in countries such as Gaza, Haiti, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Myanmar, and Nigeria. Global humanitarian needs are increasing due to conflicts, climate disasters, and economic instability, while international funding is not keeping pace with these needs. WFP plans to assist 123 million of the most food-insecure people in 2025, despite challenges related to limited access and the safety of humanitarian workers.
