The main theme of the report is the statistics of gold purchases and sales by central banks in September 2025.

In September, central banks reported net purchases of 39 tons, which is 79% higher compared to the previous month and is the highest figure for 2025. The Central Bank of Brazil was the largest buyer of the month (15 tons), followed by the National Bank of Kazakhstan and the Bank of Guatemala. The Central Bank of Uzbekistan was the only one to report sales. Year-to-date net purchases amounted to 200 tons, slightly lower compared to the same period in 2024 (215 tons). The National Bank of Poland remains the largest net buyer in 2025 (67 tons).
