WSA – World Steel in Figures, 2024

Steel is an essential part of our daily lives, from the chair we sit on to the computer we use. World Steel in Figures provides an overview of the steel industry, covering production, demand, trade, safety, and more. With the industry contributing 7 to 9% of global CO2 emissions, there is a focus on improving environmental performance. Worldsteel is working on developing a global response to this challenge and measuring progress through Sustainability Indicators. The industry is committed to transparent reporting to highlight the sustainable transition in steel production.
