Capital Markets Malaysia – Simplified ESG Disclosure Guide

Capital Markets Malaysia has introduced the Simplified ESG Disclosure Guide (SEDG) to assist small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in adopting standardized Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) reporting practices. This guide consolidates various global and local ESG frameworks into a streamlined set of 35 priority disclosures, categorized into basic, intermediate, and advanced levels to accommodate SMEs at different stages of sustainability maturity. The SEDG aims to enhance transparency and competitiveness of Malaysian SMEs in global supply chains by aligning their operations with international ESG standards.
