ССА – Sector Pathways Review, 2024

The Climate Change Authority has conducted a review to determine the best technology transition and emission pathways for Australia to reach net zero emissions by 2050 across various sectors including electricity and energy, transport, industry and waste, agriculture and land, resources, and the built environment. The review identified opportunities for emissions reductions, potential technologies for each sector, the role of public and private finance in supporting these pathways, barriers to implementation, workforce considerations, gaps in existing evidence and data, and other relevant factors. This comprehensive analysis will inform future policy decisions and actions to ensure Australia's successful transition to a low-carbon economy.
