FAO – Trade policy review in the countries of Eastern Europe

The 13th Ministerial Conference of the WTO in Abu Dhabi in 2024 saw discussions on agriculture and fisheries subsidies, but no concrete outcome was achieved. Important decisions were made, including on dispute settlement reform and regulatory cooperation. The conference highlighted the need for open, resilient global supply chains, women's economic empowerment, and support for small and medium-sized enterprises. It also recognized the challenges faced by developing countries in dealing with crises and encouraged cooperation with international organizations.
