This report is an annual reference publication on the state of global digital connectivity.

Key findings include that more than 96% of the global population is covered by a mobile broadband network, moving closer to universal access. Many low-income countries still primarily use 3G networks, which limits online capabilities. For the first time, the report estimates the number of 5G subscriptions globally.
