The number of private equity deals decreased from 4,527 in the first quarter of 2025 to 3,769 in the second quarter, marking the lowest level since the third quarter of 2020. The total volume of private equity investments also declined from $505.3 billion to $363.7 billion. The Americas region attracted 59% of the total global private equity investments in the second quarter of 2025. In the EMEA region (Europe, Middle East, and Africa), investments amounted to $117.4 billion, while in the ASPAC region (Asia-Pacific), they totaled $20.8 billion.
