In 2025, global private equity investment reached the second highest level ever at $2.1 trillion, despite a five-year low in deal volume. The Americas led with $1.2 trillion invested, followed by EMA and ASPAC regions. Investors focused on larger, high-quality deals, with significant public-to-private transactions in the US. Private equity assets under management rose to over $6 trillion, with increased investments in infrastructure and energy/natural resources sectors. Exit values also increased, and the outlook for 2026 is optimistic with expected growth in exits and IPO activity driven by favorable macroeconomic conditions.
