PitchBook – Global VC Ecosystem Rankings, Q4 2023

PitchBook has created a global VC Ecosystem Ranking to compare the development and growth rates of different locations. The framework assesses the size, maturity, and growth rates of VC ecosystems using data from the PitchBook Platform. The goal is to help founders, operators, and investors identify locations for potential expansion or investment to achieve high returns. Key findings from the rankings include San Francisco being the most developed VC ecosystem globally, with the US and Asia accounting for 85% of the top 20. London is the only European city in the top 10 most developed VC ecosystems. In terms of growth, Dubai is ranked highest, followed by locations in Europe and the US. Asia has a smaller presence among the fastest-growing VC ecosystems, with only three locations in the top 20.
