Dealroom – US Tech Update, 2Q 2024

In the second quarter of 2024, US startups raised a total of $46.5 billion in funding, marking a 3% increase from the previous quarter and a 38% increase from the same period last year. This brings the total investment for the year to over $91 billion, with consistent growth over two consecutive quarters for the first time since 2021. Venture capital investment in the US is surpassing levels seen in 2019, 2020, and 2023, with over 2,500 rounds of $2 million or more being raised by US startups in 2024. The activity of venture capital is currently at its highest level since before 2021.
