This report analyzes the Lithuanian startup ecosystem, covering startups headquartered in Lithuania as well as Lithuanian-founded startups that relocated abroad.
The ecosystem is valued at €16.4 billion as of 2025, making it the fastest-growing startup ecosystem in the Central and Eastern Europe region. Venture capital investment rebounded in 2025 from €131 million to €221 million, indicating renewed investor confidence. Lithuania has a low rate of startup HQ relocation abroad (26%), the lowest in the CEE region, suggesting a founder-friendly environment with strong infrastructure and talent. The country leads the region in women entrepreneurship, generating the highest enterprise value from women-founded startups in CEE. Lithuanian unicorns and $1B+ exits represent 55% of the total ecosystem enterprise value. The ecosystem has grown 5.9 times since 2020.
