Accenture - Pulse of Change 2024

A report by Accenture, called the Pulse of Change 2024, reveals that more than half of C-suite executives admit they are not fully ready to deal with the increasing rate of change in the business landscape. The main drivers of this accelerated change are generative AI and technological advancements. Technology change has surpassed all other causes and become the primary driver of change, compared to its ranking of sixth in the previous year. Talent is also a significant factor contributing to business transformation, currently ranked as the second most important driver of change. However, C-suite leaders perceive talent as the fourth most important driver, indicating a disconnect between perception and reality. The report suggests that businesses need to be prepared for an even faster rate of change in the coming years. While executives view this change as an opportunity for revenue growth, the findings emphasize the need for leaders to address the preparedness gap by investing in strategies and resources to navigate and capitalize on the evolving business landscape.
