In 2024, automated traffic surpassed human traffic for the first time, accounting for 51% of all web traffic. The share of malicious bots in internet traffic increased to 37% in 2024, a significant rise from 32% in 2023. Malicious bots are becoming more sophisticated and intricate due to the availability of AI tools, increasing the risk for businesses. In 2024, 55% of all bot attacks were complex or moderate, making them difficult to detect and neutralize.
