The Global Tech Report by KPMG identifies a small group of digital transformation high performers who make smarter decisions based on evidence and measurability. The report highlights a fear of missing out (FOMO) among organizations due to rapidly accelerating technology innovation. Despite this, organizations are taking a more balanced approach to investment decisions by relying on their own primary evidence and a wider range of sources. While following competitors remains a top decision driver, organizations are increasingly prioritizing third-party guidance and in-house trials and proof of concept. Digital transformation high performers are more likely to rely on customer feedback rather than follow their competitors. Tech implementation maturity has improved across the board, with priorities for further investment in XaaS, cybersecurity, AI/automation, and edge computing. The region most proactive in tech implementation is ASPAC, led by India and China. Overall, organizations are focusing on agility and cost reductions enabled by cloud computing in their business strategies.
