AI adoption increased globally by 1.2 percentage points in the second half of 2025, with about one in six people worldwide using generative AI tools. There is a widening digital divide: AI adoption in the Global North grew nearly twice as fast as in the Global South. The report highlights leading countries in AI adoption such as the UAE, Singapore, Norway, Ireland, France, and Spain, with the UAE ranking highest. Despite the United States' leadership in AI infrastructure and innovation, it ranks 24th in AI usage among the working-age population.
