BloombergNEF – Driving the Next Phase of Electric Mobility in EU

Uber made a commitment to have a ride-hailing platform supported entirely by zero-emission vehicles in Europe by 2030. Progress has been made, with drivers shifting to battery electric vehicles (BEVs) at a faster rate than the general population. However, more work is needed to achieve full vehicle electrification by 2030. This report by BloombergNEF highlights the challenges and opportunities in transitioning to 100% BEVs by 2030 for the on-demand mobility sector, including Uber. The recommendations in the report, developed after a roundtable discussion in London, aim to drive broader societal benefits and change across the entire mobility ecosystem and other industries.
