GALLUP – State of the Global Workplace

The global employee engagement and overall wellbeing declined in 2023, following years of improvement. Gallup estimates that low engagement costs the global economy US$8.9 trillion. This report explores the current state of employee mental health and wellbeing globally, as well as economic and policy-related factors impacting wellbeing. It also delves into manager-related factors for engagement at work and thriving in life. The report includes insights from follow-up interviews with respondents worldwide, providing examples of their feelings regarding their work. Leaders are urged to take action to improve the health and productivity of the global workforce.
