WEF - Global Gender Gap Report 2023

The Global Gender Gap Report 2023 is a comprehensive analysis of gender equality across the world, compiled by the World Economic Forum. The report covers a wide range of topics related to gender gaps, including benchmarking gender gaps, country coverage, performance by subindex, progress over time, performance by region, gender gaps in the workforce, representation of women in senior leadership, gender gaps in the labor markets of the future, gender gaps in the skills of the future, gender gaps in political leadership, DEI programs to close gender gaps, and putting gender parity at the heart of economic recovery and transformation. The report provides a two-page profile for each of the 146 economies covered by this year's edition, with the first page corresponding to the index results and the second offering a complementary set of contextual indicators and metrics for that economy. The report also includes a digital explorer, which provides detailed Economy Profiles of all economies featured in the index, as well as a Data Explorer tool enabling the reader to explore 2006-2023 detailed index results, rankings and comparisons by economy, region, indicator and subindex. The report concludes that while progress has been made in closing the gender gap, there is still a long way to go, with an estimated 16 years needed to close the gap. The report also highlights the importance of putting gender parity at the heart of economic recovery and transformation.
