Airbus predicts a global demand for 43,420 new aircraft by 2044, with the majority being for growth rather than replacement.
The Asia-Pacific region will see the highest demand for new deliveries, followed by the PRC, Europe, and North America. Single aisle aircraft are expected to dominate the new deliveries, while wide-body aircraft will also see significant demand. On the other hand, Boeing's Commercial Market Outlook projects a similar global demand for 43,600 new passenger and freighter aircraft from 2025-2044. The regional outlook from Boeing differs slightly from Airbus, with China, North America, Eurasia, and South and Southeast Asia being the largest regions for new deliveries. Despite a slight difference in forecasts, both Airbus and Boeing anticipate strong demand for new aircraft in the coming years.
