EIA – Monthly Energy Review, June 2024

The Monthly Energy Review (MER) is the U.S. Energy Information Administration's (EIA) main report on recent and historical U.S. energy statistics, covering areas such as energy production, consumption, stocks, trade, prices, and emissions. The release of the MER is in line with the responsibilities assigned to the EIA by the Department of Energy Organization Act. The MER is aimed at a wide range of users, including Congress members, government agencies, energy analysts, and the general public. EIA invites feedback on the MER content and other publications. Other monthly reports released by EIA include the Petroleum Supply Monthly, Petroleum Marketing Monthly, Natural Gas Monthly, and Electric Power Monthly. Data in the MER are periodically updated and revised based on new information, source data revisions, and improved estimation methodologies.
