Startups raised 25k funding rounds in 2024, with a notable return of megarounds, which were up 29% year on year. Rounds of $100M+ accounted for 53% of all VC investment in 2024. The US, China, and the UK remain the top three countries by venture capital in 2024. The Netherlands showed the most growth among the top 10 countries, with the US growing 30% year on year. Six of the top 10 tech hubs by venture capital are in the US, with the Bay Area raising more than the next ten hubs combined.
